We are looking for a qualified Flight Information Service Officer (FISO) to join our close-knit operations team.
We’re offering a fantastic opportunity at Manchester Barton Aerodrome—one of the UK’s busiest general aviation airfields—for a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO) and Business Development Assistant. This exciting multi-role combines operational responsibility with commercial and customer-facing duties in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
As part of our friendly and dedicated team, you’ll support the safe, day-to-day operation of the aerodrome—providing vital flight information services, managing aerodrome activity, and helping to drive our business forward through customer interaction, events, and promotional work.
Candidates must hold a UK FISO Licence.
A previous/current unit validation is desirable but not essential.
What We Offer
💰 Salary: £28,000 to £29,500 dependant on FISO experience.
🕐 Hours: Annualised 1,984 hours. Operational hours are 08:00 to 19:30, 7 days a week—including weekends and bank holidays. You’ll work on a 5-on / 3–4-off shift pattern, with flexibility required to meet operational needs.
🎄 We close only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
🌙 Optional out-of-hours cover is available on a voluntary basis, with additional pay.
